De-Esser AUv3 Audio Plugin 1.01

De-Esser is an AUv3 Compatible plugin designed for popular DAWs like Cubasis, Auria, AUM, Meteor, and BM3 (not compatible as a standalone application).

It comprises three effects tailored for enhancing voice recordings but not limited to them: a De-Esser, a Vocal Doubler, and a Noise Gate.

The De-Esser tool effectively reduces sibilance in vocals, tackling the harsh overemphasis of phonetics such as 'ss', 'sh', 'ch', 'th,' which are commonly exacerbated during the recording phase. The plugin offers two operational modes — 'standard' and 'multi-band' — both designed to address this issue:

• The 'standard' mode emulates the vintage technique of volume control ducking, employing a compressor driven by a filtered band of the input signal containing problematic frequencies.
• The 'multi-band' mode isolates and compresses the affected frequency band independently, offering more natural results by preserving overall volume levels.

In addition to the De-Esser feature, the plugin includes a Vocal Doubler to mimic multi-track vocal recordings without introducing phase cancellation problems. Users can customize delay time, levels, and stereo field placement.

Furthermore, the package incorporates a Noise Gate to eliminate unwanted background noise from recordings, providing adjustable threshold, attack, release, and dB reduction settings.

A visual frequency display aids in identifying and isolating affected frequency ranges promptly; users can also disable this feature to reduce CPU usage. Four visual modes are available for issue visualization. Additionally, a sibilance filter preview button allows listening to problematic frequencies in isolation, complemented by a limiter to create headroom for the vocal doubler.
